Why Hybrid Cars are Better

11310563952_19012008458.jpgYou buy one of the best conventional cars on the lot. It offers you an internal combustion engine, has lots of torque, it’s speedy and even has a 3 CD changer. Your neighbor buys the same car but his is a hybrid. Why did he buy a hybrid? What makes a hybrid any different from the car you bought? Here is a list of six reasons why your neighbor bought a hybrid compared to a conventional car.

1. Miles per gallon: Hybrid cars get about 30 more miles per gallon than any conventional car. If your conventional car is getting about 32 miles to the gallon then your neighbor is probably getting about 62 miles per gallon. This can make a big difference in your gas budget every month, especially with gas prices on the rise. In the future hybrids are hoping to be able to get about 100 miles to the gallon. Sounds nice to me.

2. Oil changes less often: The conventional car you bought will likely need to have an oil change about every 3,000 miles. Your neighbor’s hybrid on the other hand will only need an oil change about every 5,000-6,000 miles. The break down of this is if you only drive about 1,000 miles a month you will only need to change the oil in a hybrid twice per year compared to a conventional car that will need to have it’s oil changed four times a year. Sounds like the hybrid is saving you even more money.

3. Helps protect the environment: Hybrid use less gasoline so they give off less emissions that are causing the greenhouse gases. This is because many hybrid cars use two different types of energy to power them, gasoline and electricity. Hybrids are helping to reduce the effects emissions are having on the worlds oil, reduce smog and help the ozone.

4. Hybrids are smart: Many hybrids come with a feature that will automatically turn the engine off when your idling or if the speed your going is less than 15 miles per hour. Once you press on the accelerator it will automatically restart the engine. This will help lower your use of gasoline even more.

5. Hybrids Repairs: Although hybrids have made many advances in technology they are still similar enough to a conventional car so they can go to just about any auto shop for repairs, regular maintenance and body work.

6. Hybrids are safer: Most people can not truly understand why a hybrid is so much safer that a conventional car. Simply put the battery in a hybrid car is nickel laid instead of the lead acid battery that is found in conventional cars. The hybrid also require less gasoline. Because of these two factors there is less potential for there to be a disaster in the hybrid is in an accident. So it makes the hybrid much safer compared to a conventional car in an accident.

There are also several other reasons why a hybrid car is better than the conventional car. It is up to you what kind of car you choose to purchase.

Hybrid Cars Have More Advantage In Comparision Of Conventional Cars

21310563955_toyotahybridx04.jpgDue to the rising cost of fuel and the environmental damage it causes to our planet, many car owners or buyers are looking for an alternative way to save money. Let’s face it, fuel supply is finite and the prices of gas is only going to rise higher and higher. That is where a hybrid car has its advantages
Hybrid cars have been gaining in popularity in recent years. With lower cost of production and new hybrid car technology being developed, owning a hybrid car is becoming affordable to everyone.

Hybrid Cars Saves Gas

The obvious advantage of using hybrid cars is that it saves gas. Combining the cleaner energy of an electric motor with the long range capacity of a gasoline engine allows a hybrid car to save as much as 30 miles a gallon. One feature of hybrid cars is that the gasoline engine is shut off automatically when the car stops. This also helps in saving fuel. That is also the reason why hybrid cars are so quiet why it is stationary. The gasoline engine is automatically turned on when you step on the accelerator pedal.

Hybrid Cars Are Environment Friendly

Hybrid cars emit lower toxic emissions compared to conventional gasoline-powered cars due to less gasoline being burned. It is environmentally friendly, causes less pollution and releases less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. If you do not know, carbon dioxide is one of the primary reasons for rising global warming. For example, the Toyota Prius can reduce tailpipe emissions by up to ninety percent and the greenhouse gas emissions by as much as fifty percent.

Tax Incentives For Hybrid Cars

Due to world political pressures around the world to reduce greenhouse emissions, President Bush signed an agreement in 2005 to provide huge tax relief to hybrid car buyers. The tax incentive varies by model and are based on two factors

1. How fuel efficient the hybrid car is compared to a conventional car in 2002 with the same weight class.

2. How much gasoline the hybrid car can save in its lifetime compared with an equivalent conventional car

For example, a Honda Accord hybrid car have reduced tax credits of $600 while a Toyota Prius has a tax credit of $3150. Do note that the tax credits do expire after 2010 for most hybrid cars.

Hybrid Car Battery – The secret Behind

01310563954_toyota-hybrid-x-concept-wide.jpgHybrid cars are what you can describe as a cross between a normal gasoline motorized car and an electric motorized car. It employs together the two power sources to run the car and has 2 engines. One is the gasoline engine and the other is the electricity engine. Hybrid cars run on fuel when it is running , and it runs on electricity which is given from the car battery , when it is idle.

There are 2 main types of hybrid cars presented these days. One is the parallel hybrid car and the other is the series hybrid car. In parallel hybrid cars, together the electric motor (and the car battery) , and the gasoline motor are attached to the transmission. This means that both motors will be capable to run the car unaided and will give driving power.

In the series hybrid car, the gasoline engine is not linked to the transmission. It is only connected to the generator to charge the car battery or to power the electric motor to provide propulsion .

Now that we recognize the worth of the car battery , what is a  Hybrid  car battery ?

The hybrid  car battery is the energy   tool for the electric engine but the  hybrid  car battery is also such as any other car battery , and  it  is rechargeable and has an adequate amount juice to move a large massive car on the road for a number of feet or a number of miles.

The design of the latest hybrid  car battery is thought to be more compact and holds electricity that is created by the car driving system until it is required for the cars use.

Usually a hybrid  car battery is ( planned, or also under warranty), to last 10 years or 160,000km of driving, it is not expected that the car user will has to change the car battery previous to the time he throw out the car.

In hybrid cars, the electric engine is able to pull out power from the car battery and also put power onto them. This signify that at the time the electric motor is running, it can repeatedly renew the batteries built-in the hybrid car.

While the hybrid  car battery is being used in idle state , it will without human intervention disconnect the gasoline engine and activate the electric engine to run your car. It will change back to the gasoline motor once you step on the gas pedal  of the car .

At present, a hybrid car battery is  able to revive whilst the brakes are in use. It can  also being revived from energy generated by the motor.

Just a reminder :the hybrid  car battery is one of the most dangerous things that would need exceptional getting rid  of when it has died.

With all of these benefits, a hybrid car is the car of the future. It may effectively conserve gas, it can run in silence, it has small toxic fume emissions, and it may in addition conserve you very much  money from huge tax breaks for hybrid car buyers.
